Across the oceans laid the land of Bel'ameth, the new capital city for the night elf race. Bel'ameth is a beautiful zone. A lush forest full of vast wildlife; flora and fauna coexisting peacefully. The druids of Bel'ameth maintained the lands, keeping the balance of peace and harmony.
Eva had been brought into the world by her druidic parents. The Bel'amethi druids were all born with the ability to Dreamwalk, however they do not know how to harness this inner blessing until it's taught. The children of the Bel'amethi are blessed by Elune from the moment they enter the waking world. Until they find their voice, the children are capable of understanding Elvish at birth. A rarity in the world set before them.
As training began to enter the Dreamwalking state, Eva found herself to struggle. Even though she was still a baby, most of her fellow druids were able to quickly enter the Dreamwalking state. Eva fell behind, unable to keep up with the others in training.
Eva's parents weren't disappointed in her, but rather supportive. Instead of pushing to train her to be a druid, they let her grow up normally. As she grew older, she was enrolled in the school for the normal Bel'amethi children. She received a standard education. Her time spent growing up was more so her learning basic druid spells from her friends and generally being a kid.
Blood curdling screams came from Eva's bedroom. Her parents rushed in to find her on the bed, her body contorted. The veins across Eva's body turned black, her eyes open, staring at the ceiling. Her hands grasped at nothing as she continued to scream.
Eva was trapped inside her head. Surrounded by a black fog, of which she couldn't see through. Every step she took pained her. She walked barefoot through dense thorn bushes. She felt herself becoming more and more disconnected from her body. Visions of corrupted dreamsabers prowled in the distance. She heard the loud whispers of her parents trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Elvish whispers flooded her surroundings. Voices of her friends asking why she couldn't be like them, asking why she failed.
Eva cried as she pushed through the thorns, enduring the torment that had only grew worse with each step. Eva fell into the bushes, enduring lacerations across her body. The whispers chanted to her, punishing her for not being good enough.
Her parents witnessed Eva's veins turn back to normal. Her body uncontorted. However, Eva wasn't waking up. Her eyes shut, her breathing was at an incredibly low pace. They watched in horror as their daughter now entered what they thought was a vegetative state.
Ten years had gone by. Many of Eva's friends had been loaned to other continents, sent on explorative missions, or had died due to combat inflicted wounds from invasion attempts. All of these events happening and Eva was not aware. It was believed she was trapped in her own body, attempting to Dreamwalk on her own without proper training or guidance. Her body was kept alive the entire time. Her mother had passed away at this point and it was her father's persistence that kept her alive.
Walking into her bedroom to help maintain her health, her father found the bed to be empty and the window wide open. Panic ensued as he rushed around the house calling out her name. She was no where to be found.
Outdoors, Eva ran around, testing out her different shape shifting forms. Switching between her bear form, cat form, her flight form, and her astral form. She ran around laughing, enjoying herself as she took on her many new forms. She tested out several new abilities in her astral form, allowing her to call upon the stars to damage her foe.
Hearing her father call out to her, Eva's face glowed. She changed into her cat form and barreled across the open field, tackling her father and changing back into her Elven form. She hugged him, she was incredibly happy to see him.
The past ten years had been mind opening for Eva. She had been trying hard to force herself into the Dreamwalking state of mind. However, because she was trying to brute force herself into that state of mind, she lost herself. The Dreamwalking state only comes to those who are calm, collected, and can follow the mental path. Because the Dreamwalking state rejected her for rushing the path, it had dejected her into misery. The misery she endured was her first lesson, passing it granted her access to the Dreamwalking state. Once there, Eva was able to see back through her bloodline and learn many new abilities through her ancestors. Eva learned to let go of her gripes, her stress, and her anguish through deep meditation. Once out of the Dreamwalking state, she has blossomed into a better person. Eva spends her time practicing her abilities so her bloodline can learn from her.
